| Demolition Method: Demolition will start with the tallest portion of the structure and will work perpendicular to the orientation of the roof trusses. The intent is to push the roofing and wall systems inward and downward, keeping the generated debris within the building footprint. Once the work has progressed to the point that demolition material is on the ground, the materials will fully be separated into recyclable and non-recyclable waste streams (metals, masonry, structural beams and co-mingled non-recyclables). As the sorting is complete, the debris will be loaded into trucks and hauled to recycling and waste disposal facilities as appropriate. Waste manifests will be provided for each truck leaving the site, recycled metals will not have a waste manifest but will be documented and tracked. Demolition may stop occasionally to allow for this load-out and clean up. Loading of trucks will generally be located next to the building footprint, if possible, trucks will be loaded within the building footprint if access is attainable. | |
