Check the Interactive Burn Map by address to determine if burning is allowed at the location.
The outdoor burning of natural vegetation (branches, limbs, brush etc.) that has been grown and cut from the property is allowed on properties outside of the Urban Growth Area (UGA) or other permanent No Burn Area (NBA) with a valid permit. Outdoor burning is seasonally banned July through September each year. Dates may vary by county. Learn more about summer Burn Bans and sign up for SWCAA Alerts.
For all Silvicultural Burn Permits visit the DNR Pacific Cascades Region, the DNR Burn Portal, or call 360-575-5089. Always call 1-800-323-BURN to learn about the current burn bans.
To qualify for Agricultural Burning, a Federal Income Tax, Schedule F, is required. Orchard prunings alone do not qualify and other restrictions apply.
